This Decade, did a number on me / saw my face in steamy shower metal obscured

This Decade, did a number on us / saw a man’s face on cold street – home deferred down alleyways and past office buildings – obscured

This Decade did a number on that / saw a woman’s face screaming in terror, which image? they are becoming so ubiquitous? the fire engulfing her house in Paradise, California face? the bomb fell on her house and killed her three sons in Gaza face? or was it the woman screaming at Cox’s Bizarre – at the border of genocidal Myanmar face?  or the face of the transwoman killed face, no that one? no that one? oh

there are so many names

unsaid.

? we don’t see the screams, but we hear the faces in our own faces.

?cynical civics, clinical classes, obtuse oligarchs

abstruse algorithmic analytics…
